My Journey

As a child of 8 years old, my family was involved in a tragic Yachting accident which resulted in my older brother (9) suffering a Major Traumatic Brain injury. I will save the reader the details but suffice it to say, our lives were dramatically altered and redirected that ominous day in July,1979.

Our family dedication to my brothers care was priority number one and has never faltered. Our united family goal was to give my brother the absolute best life he could ever invent, create or imagine himself. His journey became my life's Pathway.

I had met every discipline involved with traumatic brain injury recovery, so it stands to reason that I would try to find my place amongst the hundreds of doctors, nurses, therapists etc. that I had come to identify with through all the years with my brother. My sense of self had been slowly forming under the guise that my purpose was directed by my desire to help my brother and all who have suffered the same fate.
